An audiologist? Awesome! I haven't tried those earplugs, but I will check them out. Thanks so much.
While I'm getting medical advice on the cheap, do you also have a recommendation for hearings aids that might address the tinnitus? Mine are about six years old, and I understand that the technology has improved a lot in recent years, including with respect to tinnitus.

Well as you know tinnitus management and hearing aid fitting are both highly individual and complex so best bet is to find the best audiology practice you can. Hearing aids are not my sub specialty I'm on the dizzy side of audiology. But where I work they have fit Widex aids with a tinnitus program. Oticon Resound and Phonak are also good, not sure if they have tinnitus programs available. Where do you live? They have great tinnitus programs at UC San Francisco and at OHSU in Portland Oregon
